Zipp’s 808 Firecrest® Tubeless rim-brake wheelset makes you faster with an 82mm rim depth that’s fast, stable in crosswinds, and now tubeless-ready. That means you get all the aero benefits with having the ability to run lower tire pressure for increased cornering grip and compliance and reduced rolling resistance, without the risk of pinch flats. This wheelset is infused with technologies developed in our Indianapolis advanced development lab. Zipp’s ABLC™ Sawtooth™ Technology uses a complex dimpling pattern to improve aero efficiency. Zipp’s ShowStopper™ textured braking surface delivers unrivaled rim braking performance in wet or dry conditions. At the center of the 808 Firecrest Tubeless rim-brake is a versatile and durable new hubset, the German-engineered ZR1. Zipp’s new wheel cosmetics make this wheelset a perfect pairing of speed and style.

ABLC SawTooth Technology 空氣力學邊界層控制鋸齒技術 (Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control) 
我們全新的 Sawtooth 鋸齒形渦洞排列設計,整齊排列成 12 個節點,當車速到達 20mph ( 32.2kph ) 時,氣流脫離的頻率正好為 50hz。Sawtooth 鋸齒形渦洞排列法,輪圈形成的渦流層發展到小尺寸即會脫離,且形成較高的自然頻率,這會減少在輪圈剖面氣流遮蔽側的層流氣泡效應,可進一步減少高偏航角時的阻力和增進側風的穩定性。側風穩定性可以增加強陣風天候時的安全感,同時節省維持動線時,所需消耗的功率

Zipp's sole mission is to help you go faster. That's why our wheels are race-ready before they're camera-ready. For years, Zipp has used a combination of testing methods 一 wind tunnel, CFD computer simulations, pro athlete evaluations, on-road testing, and the RollingRoad ride simulator - to refine aero performance to new levels of excel I e nee. Over the decades of innovation, our engineers have earned to look beyond just focusing on simply reducing aero drag. Instead, the goal now is to reduce aero drag while also minimizing the effects of crosswinds on handling. This optimizing of aero efficiency and crosswind stability became known internally at Zipp as AeroBalance. The approach began with Firecrest technology and has been advanced with the introduction of the NSW lineup, especially with the Sawtooth technology found in the 454 and 858 NSW. Sawtooth accomplishes this with a series of patented fin-shaped Hyperfoil nodes along the inner diameter of the rim that work together with our new HexFin ABLC dimples for improved airflow.
